Paolo Flores D'Arcais is one of the most influential Italian philosophers and editor of the review MicroMega. He has published at length on ethics, religion and politics. His atheistic stance has been at the center of many debates in Italy. His long debate with the Joseph Ratzinger has been published in many languages. Among his books: Etica senza fede, 1992; L'individuo libertario, 1999. He contributes to newspapers such as Die Zeit, Le Monde, La Repubblica.
