Marleen Wynants
Operational Director
CROSSTALKS

Crosstalks

Marleen Wynants (°1958) is an independent publicist. She graduated in linguistics and audio-visual communication sciences at the University of Leuven and started working as content producer at the Belgian Radio and Television in its precommercial stage. She was the editor of the post-punk magazine Fabiola, leaving the scene in 1988, the year that Hillel Slovak, Chet Baker, Divine, Sylvester and Roy Orbison died. The birth of her two daughters and the breakthrough of the internet reoriented her focus to children’s books, educational workshops and a large number of articles and columns on ICT, on inter-disciplinary science projects and the people behind them. At present she is the operational director of CROSSTALKS, the university and industry network of VUB and reports on art and science in art and Janus Magazine.
