John Dupré's research is in philosophy of science, and especially philosophy of biology. His main books are: The Disorder of Things: Metaphysical Foundations of the Disunity of Science (Harvard, 1993), Darwin’s Legacy: What Evolution Means Today (Oxford, 2003).
