John Dilworth is a Professor of Philosophy at Western Michigan University. He is the author of many scholarly articles on aesthetics and cognitive science,and recently published The Double Content of Art (New York: Prometheus
Books, 2005). He is currently working on a new book, provisionally entitled Consciousness and Perspectival Perception, which will provide,
among other things, the first substantive naturalistic explanation of the nature
and function of conscious perceptual experience.
