Born in Glasgow in 1966, Dr. John Armstrong is Senior Research Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne. His books include Conditions of Love (2002) and The Intimate Philosophy of Art (2000) - both published by Penguin. He is currently working on a book about beauty.
