Jill De Villiers
Psycholinguist
Smith College


Jill de Villiers is a psycholinguist whose major interest lies in children's language acquisition. She teaches half time in the philosophy department in courses on linguistics and philosophy of science. In psychology, she is often on the staff of the introductory course, and teaches the cognitive psychology laboratory course, a course on language and a seminar in language acquisition. She has worked with aphasic patients, deaf children and autistic children. Her current interest is Language and the Theory of Mind.
