Jean-Louis Dessalles' research interests focus on artificial intelligence, natural language modelling, genetic algorithms, evolution of language and communication. Among his recent books: Aux origines du langage, Paris, Hermann. He was the organizer of the Third Conference on the Evolution of Language (Paris, April 2000).
