Gunnar Jansson
Gunnar Jansson has taken all his degrees including a PhD in psychology (1969) and has been employed (1979-97) at the Department of Psychology at University, Uppsala, Sweden. He has been visiting researcher at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY and at Smith-Kettlewell Institute of Visual Sciences, San Francisco, CA. He is formally retired but has been doing research and guided students at the Department of Psychology at almost full time. His early research concerned visual motion perception and perceptual problems. At present , he takes part in Uppsala University projects on haptic perception (EU-project, MoBIC, based on Geographic Information Systems and Global Positioning Systems) and on ongoing EU-project, PURE-FORM.
