Grahame Cooper is Professor of Applied Information Systems Engineering at the University of Salford and Director of the Informatics Research Institute (IRIS) - concerned with Information, Technology, People, Organisations and Society to build a sustainable future. His research interests lie in the areas of information modelling, systems engineering, and applied neural nets. In particular, he is interested in the use of object-oriented systems engineering and information modelling methods to assist in the integration of organizations and industries consisting of groups of people with diverse backgrounds and disciplines. He is particularly active in the application of these approaches in the construction industries and has published and presented widely on this area both in the UK and internationally.
