François Quiviger studied at Montreal University and received his PhD from the Warburg Institute in London, where he is librarian and webmaster. He writes on theories of the image in 1400-1600, focusing especially on the relation that representational arts bear to ancient and modern theories of mind. In his current projects, he is investigating the possible uses of information technologies for the transmission of historical knowledge.
