David Eagleman directs the Laboratory for Perception and Action at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, where he studies the relationship of causality and time. He is author of Behind the I (Oxford Press, 2005) and Ten Unsolved Questions of Neuroscience (MIT Press, 2005). He earned an undergraduate degree in British and American Literature at Rice University and Oxford University, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine, and researched as a postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA.
