Amy Morris has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California at Los Angeles (Medieval Italian and French Literature and Literary Theory). Her literary interests are in Peircean semiotics and Dante. She was at the Getty Research Institute for the History of Art and the Humanities where she worked on projects including: Dosso's Fate: Painting and Court Culture in Renaissance Italy; Art/History: Objects, Meanings, Judgements; Memory, History, Narrative; Perception/Art. She has recently completed the book Brainquake, which is based primarily on her personal experiences with adult-onset epilepsy.
